Having worked with my Mac Studio for about 3-weeks now, I can honeslty say it’s a good machine. It’s not a great machine. And the reason for that is that I don’t love it. It’s quick. Like really quick at opening apps, but I just don’t love it. The last computer I truly loved was my 2013, fully specced-out MacBook Air. It was a required upgrade from my previous machine – a 2009 base model iMac. I moved to Bath on the hottest day of the year in 2013 and after visiting the co-working space I learned about shortly before the move, I realised that I was going to need a portable machine to work from. I bought as much machine that was practically light, and affordable that I could. I was cycling to the co-working space everyday, up and down a VERY steep hill and so weight was an important factor. Fortunately, the Air met all my expectations and was an absolute joy to work with. I loved it.
EDIT 16/04/2024: After nearly two years, I can say that I do now love my Mac Studio.
