So, i maintain the comuter systems in my office. This includes a few workstations, a few laptops, some smart phones and a server. Let me tell you, Windows SBS 2003 in a pain. I just know i wouldn’t have half of the problems i encounter on a day-to-day basis if we just ran Mac’s here. I run a Mac at home and i rarely have any issues with it. Like they say on the adverts, ‘it just works!’.
However, if anyone else finds they have issues regarding their SBS 2003 installation or any other questions about servers, i highly recommend going here.
I hate asking anyone else for help. I like to find out stuff on my own and it’s a real bonus when you get something working becuase you researched it. However, in the event that i do get completely baffled by something, that website is a great place to ask professionals what to do and how to go about it. Signing up for a basic account is free however if you want full access to the range of articles they post, which is seperate from the forums by the way, then you will have to pay. The articles are basically tutorials on everything server related.
I hope that site helps someone else out like it helps me. Sometimes, those Microsoft loving bods are alright!
