New Apple Macbooks etc.

So, i’ve been following the coverage from “The Spotlight Turns To Macbooks” event that Apple are currently holding over on Engadget.

Have to say, i wasn’t really expecting a netbook from them. It’s a market barely finding its feet and we all know how Apple are sometimes behind the market ever so slightly with things like that. But that is usually because they have something excellent and market progressing, brewing up in their labs somewhere. I have no doubt that they will release something in a year or so.

As for the cinema display, i think it looks great. It needed a refresh i think and i think they’re branding across their range is looking fantastic. My dad owns a Macbook Air and although i think it’s a great tool, I do find it to be slow. The processor is the culprit and if i could downgrade to Tiger i would, but then i’d loose the cool touchpad settings. The new one, i do hope to be better.

It’s nice to know that Apple have started integrating SSD.

Although i don’t use Macbooks (i have an iMac 17″ Late-2006 model which i use at home) and apart from the fact they look great, i’ll have to try one out in my local Apple store to get a feel for that new touchpad and to see if what they’re doing is going to be industry leading.

The manufacturing process’s look really good too. I like how they’re energy conscious as a company and always make great efforts to keep green, both in their processes and in the products for consumers (i.e. energy efficient).

By the way, don’t watch the 4th Indiana Jones film, it’s just ridiculous.
