There’s been some work being carried out on the house next door to us for a few months now & finally, last Saturday, they took down the scaffolding on our side of the wall, which allowed us to get in the garden, sort some things out and just generally have a really good tidy up.
There were slate cuttings, wood blocks and general bits of construction rubbish everywhere, so you can imagine the mess made. Below are some before and after pictures. We have lined one area where the gap between where the paving slabs end and where the new wall starts, with soil which we plan to plant creepers in and have climbing up the wall on trelace. We will continue this along the rest of the gap but it has been raining almost constantly since we did the work and haven’t yet had an opportunity.
