So i have since tried out the new macbooks and apart from the obvious (that they are very, very quick), the touchpad does feel strange. I guess i like being able to use my thumb to click the the rest of my fingers to do the moving of the cursor or multi-fingured gestures.
Then again, i don’t use tap-to-click.
A lot of people compain about the screens. Personally i think they look absolutely great, are finished to a high quality and really, really are not a light catching, screen glaring problem. I’ve been using a MacBook Air on a near day-to-day basis since around May and the screen has never once bothered me. It’s has been used in an office environment with bright strip lights and plenty of windows. If anything, I really think the brightness of the screen counter-acts this “problem” rendering it totally usable.
Just my opinion but then again, i don’t work outside or anything.
